Do I need a referral for an appointment?

Yes, this is a legal requirement and required for all scans at Ultrasound North. A referral is required for you to obtain Medicare benefits.​
Do I need to bring my referral to my appointment?
​
Yes, please bring your referral to your appointment.
Who will perform my ultrasound?
Ultrasounds are generally performed by our team of qualified sonographers, who specialise in obstetric and gynaecological imaging. They will guide you through the exam to ensure you feel comfortable and at ease.​
Can I request the same sonographer throughout my pregnancy journey?​​
Yes, we will do our best to book you with your preferred sonographer upon request.
Where are you located?

Ultrasound North is located at 75 Grand boulevard, Joondalup 6027.
Where can I park?
​​
Depending on the time of day, it may be difficult to find parking.  Please allow extra time to find parking.

Street parking is often available on Regents Park Road or paid parking is available on McLarty Avenue. Alternatively, you may choose to park at Joondalup Health Campus, which is located just behind Ultrasound North.

Should you require disabled parking please give us a call prior to your appointment.
Can I record or facetime during my scan? 
​​
The use of photographic and recording equipment is not permitted during your ultrasound. However, you may ask your sonographer if a short recording of the scan can be taken at the end of the appointment.
Do you run on time?
​​
At Ultrasound North, we make every effort to run on time. However, delays can occasionally occur due to factors such as late arrivals, babies in difficult positions, or scans that require additional time for further assessment.

​We appreciate your understanding, as it’s important that each patient receives the time needed for an accurate and thorough examination
​Can I get a copy of my results/report? 
​​
Your results are sent directly to your referring doctor or specialist and will be discussed at your follow-up appointment. A copy of the report can usually be provided upon request.
How much will my appointment cost?
​​
​Ultrasound North is a private billing practice. The cost of each scan varies depending on the complexity of the scan and the Medicare rebate. Our friendly reception staff will advise the charge and available rebate for your appointment when you book.
Can I pay for my scan at a later date?
​​
​We require payment in full on the day of your scan. Credit card and EFTPOS facilities are available.
