Dr Kym Jones

Experience
Dr Kym Jones is a Perth-trained Specialist Obstetrician Gynaecologist and Sonologist who has worked in obstetric and gynaecological unltrasound since 1993. She began in healthcare in Queensland as a Radiographer before training as a Sonographer, where her interest in women's healthcare took hold. After a 15 year career in ultrasound, Dr Jones pursued a career in medicine, graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle in 2010. She completed her FRANZCOG and specialist ultrasound qualification (DDU) in 2019. Dr Jones is a practicing Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Perth's northern suburbs, bringing extensive clinical experience to her ultrasound reporting. She values communication with her colleagues and referring doctors, encouraging collaborative working relationships to deliver optimal patient care. Outside of medicine, Dr Jones enjoys spending time with her three children and their pugs. She also has a passion for classic VWs, particulalry her '74 Kombi. |
Dr Chhaya Mehrotra

Experience
Dr Chhaya Mehrotra is a Consultant Obstetrician and Sonologist at King Edward Memorial Hospital, Subiaco since January 2014. She is the Lead for Diabetes Service at KEMH which is a referral service for all pregnant women with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in the State. She is passionate about her work within the Diabetes multidisciplinary team and has extensive experience in the field of high risk Obstetric and gynaecological scanning with special interest in fetal diagnostic imaging. She is heavily involved with clinical governance, review of clinical incidents and obstetric outcomes within KEMH and was the Chair of this committee for several years. She has strong commitments towards training and teaching of future obstetrics and gynaecology specialists and was the State Chair of Training and Accreditation Committee for several years. Chhaya completed her undergraduate medical education with High distinction and Gold medal awards in multiple subjects including Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She received the prestigious Pfizer Postgraduate Medical (Gold medal) Award for outstanding performance in MBBS and Gold Medal award for the best female medical student in the State for her year. After a successful thesis submission and exam, she was awarded MD Obstetrics Gynaecology in 1993. Chhaya was awarded FRANZCOG after her training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in NZ and she worked for nearly 10 years as a consultant Obstetrician Gynaecologist and later as maternal fetal medicine specialist before moving to Perth in 2014. |

Dr Suzanne Meharry

Experience
Dr Suzanne Meharry is a locally trained obstetrician who obtained her medical degree at UWA in 2004. She trained in obstetrics and gynaecology in Western Australia at KEMH, Joondalup, Osborne Park and Bunbury. She identified imaging in O&G to be an area of interest early and further trained in O&G ultrasound at KEMH between 2016 and 2018. She has work mainly in private obstetrics since 2019 but has spent a lot of time in O&G imaging and teaching over the last few years including teaching and reporting. Suzanne joined Ultrasound North in 2025. |

Nikki Borg

Experience
Nikki is a registered medical sonographer who has spent her career in tertiary level Obstetrics & Gynaecology within both the public and private sectors. Nikki has a passion for obstetric ultrasound and a keen interest in complex gynaecological examinations, particularly, the evolving and progressive use of ultrasound in assessing for endometriosis. She is currently a senior sonographer at King Edward memorial Hospital where she has the privilege of working with experts and other senior sonographers. Nikki values working as part of a collaborative team and is excited to have joined the team at Ultrasound North. |
Chelsea Hunter

Experience
Chelsea has been a sonographer for more than 25 years, being the 2nd graduate of the Royal Perth Hospital Ultrasound training programme in 2000. She moved to Joondalup Health campus to pursue her passion of women’s health ultrasound working primarily in this field from 2006. Chelsea has worked at Ultrasound North from its inception in 2009. With her specialisation she has gained significant experience in complex gynaecological and endometriosis studies with a fertility basis. Her passion and understanding results in high quality care at Ultrasound North. |
Joanna Paton

Experience
Jo has dedicated over 30 years to Women’s Health, beginning her career as a midwife before transitioning into a dual midwife-sonographer role after completing her ultrasound training at King’s College Hospital in London. Before relocating to Australia, she was the lead midwife-sonographer at the Feto-Maternal Medicine Unit at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, specialising in high-risk pregnancies. Since moving to Australia, Jo has developed extensive expertise in complex gynaecological ultrasound, with a particular interest in endometriosis. Jo has been part of the team at Ultrasound North for 17 years and also currently works as a senior sonographer at King Edward Memorial Hospital. She is passionate about providing high-quality care. |
Rosalyn Smith

Experience
Rosalyn has been an obstetric and gynaecological sonographer for more than 25 years and has worked at Ultrasound North for 15 years. She is a senior sonographer at King Edward Memorial Hospital in the tertiary level Ultrasound Department performing specialised obstetric and gynaecological ultrasounds including endometriosis assessment. Rosalyn has a special interest in the fetal heart and is lucky enough to work as part of the Fetal Cardiology team performing fetal echoes at King Edward’s for families from all over Western Australia. Rosalyn performs a clinical role at King Edward and Ultrasound North and has previously been invited to give a presentation at the National Sonographers’ Conference. Rosalyn is happy to bring her enthusiasm and knowledge to the team at Ultrasound North. |
